What a wild year 2024 has been. For all of the progress and legitimization of the lifestyle, there has also been a terrible dark side that has crept out into the open - and it’s disturbing.
But before I get into that dark side, let me just say that this past year I’ve seen many wonderful new things in the cuckolding lifestyle. Never before have there been this many new podcasts about cuckolding and hotwifing. There are more voices in the space and I think that’s a great thing. Also, there seems to be numerous different ways for people to connect with each other and build a sense of community - whether that be through online forums or messaging apps. And there are many cuckold/hotwife specific events available now that were previously unheard of. It has all made for a more connected feeling in the lifestyle and has allowed people to create new friendships that are meaningful to them. And all of those things are important when it comes to building a lifestyle community that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive.
I wish that that was the actual trend. In fact, this past year has seen some really shocking events and the harm they’ve had to the lifestyle has been significant. Sometimes cuckolding can be really horrible for women when it comes to lack of consent. I’ve twice now heard stories from men who have manipulated their wife into cuckolding them and filmed or watched without their consent, sometimes going behind their back and arranging for men to entice their wife to cheat and then arranging to be part of it without her knowledge. This is such a violation of trust and I believe it’s harmful and damaging to relationships - husbands do not do this!
And then there was the shocking news about how a husband repeatedly drugged his wife into unconsciousness and recruited dozens of men to rape her while the husband watched. This truly fucking sick version of cuckolding is horrible and I’m glad he’s getting his day in court along with all of the men who raped her. To add to the disgust, it was even reported that the husband helped teach some of those men how to drug their own wives/partners after they expressed interest in the process.
Unfortunately there are rapists in my own circle in the cuckolding lifestyle and this past year has revealed that they are lurking and they are preying upon us. I’ve always said that this lifestyle is especially vulnerable to predators, mainly because of the power that bulls are automatically given. The stereotype of the big strong dominant bull who just takes what he wants….it’s all too common and it’s dangerous. It’s especially scary when these predators are people who I’ve known who seemed like really friendly guys and they seemed especially skilled at putting women and couples at ease. They even come with bragging rights of being a long time bull in the lifestyle - something that you would think makes them trustworthy and safe.
I’ve also seen vicious behaviour in other ways in this lifestyle. Such as when a relationship deteriorates and a woman goes to great lengths to harm him by contacting his conservative family members and “outing” him by sending them nude salaciously kinky photos, thereby causing irreparable damage. This is inexcusable behavior that should never be tolerated. I don’t care how upset you are at someone you should never ever “out” them to their friends or family.
The last couple of months of 2024 also saw an increase in violent language and harassment towards women online and posts such as “your body, my choice” have been trending with millions of people sharing them. Intimate partner violence towards women worldwide has gone up; the most dangerous person a woman will meet in her lifetime is her husband/boyfriend and the most dangerous place she will go is home. Combine that with a general societal passive attitude towards accepting political figures with criminal rap sheets that include sexual assault - what message does that send to women? Women’s reproductive rights are continually being threatened, the religious right is constantly trying to revert to the days of subservient women trapped in traditional marriages, and idiots like Andrew Tate are brainwashing young men to believe that hating women is the answer to all of their problems.
It’s an ugly world right now and it’s dangerous. It’s not safe for anyone in the cuckolding lifestyle and it’s especially unsafe for women. It’s time to spotlight this trend and correct this nosedive before the lifestyle that we all love so much goes to shit. We need to do better.
